Conveniently Located

SVSU's main campus is centrally located within the State of Michigan and near Mid-Michigan's tri-cities of Saginaw, Bay City and Midland. The MBS International Airport is only ten minutes from campus and Detroit is two hours by car.

  • Graduate education programs are offered at the Regional Education Centers in Chesterfield and Troy, Michigan. Additional nursing and education programs are offered at various other locations in the Thumb region of Michigan.

Highest Level of Accreditation

SVSU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • The College of Business & Management is accredited by the AACSB - International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Only 15% of all business schools worldwide are AACSB accredited.
  • The College of Education is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and is approved as a teacher preparation institution by action of the Michigan State Board of Education.
  • The Crystal M. Lange College of Health & Human Services nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education which is affiliated with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The Occupational Therapy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational therapy (ACOTE), affiliated with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Credentialed Faculty

The majority of SVSU faculty hold a Ph.D. and many bring both academic credentials and professional experience to the classroom.

Quality Course Delivery

Learning at SVSU is most often face-to-face and interactive with some on-line courses and hybrids - a combination of in-class and on-line courses.
